The Adelaide Hills

Barrenjoey Hideaway is located in the Torrens River Valley.

Events held throughout the year include:

The Bay to Birdwood vintage car rally ending only 3km from Barrenjoey at the Birdwood National Motor Museum

The Tour Down-Under, once again only a few kilometres from the farm.

The Oakbank Races held at Easter

Kersbrook Winery, our nearest cellar-door. Holding acoustic music nights and wine tastings.

The Medieval Festival held in Gumeracha in May of each year.

The Cherry season in December/January is worth a mention as Torrens Valley Orchards is in Winton Rd

Mount Pleasant Markets, Sundays 8am-12 midday.

Cuddly Creek Cafe, unique groovy cafe with a great vibe, on Gorge Road. Frequented by many daytrippas touring the Torrens.

Gorge Wildlife Park. Well set up and popular.

Golf Courses.

Cellar doors.

Murray River at Mannum. Historic town and Paddle Steamers and only 38kms!

The Big Rocking Horse, 4kms away in Gumeracha. Great for kids but so is Barrenjoey.

Whilst on the subject of kids entertainment I have to mention Lobethal Slot Cars as it is the best setup I’ve ever seen.

Melba’s Chocolate Factory is in Woodside. This town is one of the best in the area to spend a morning.
